Secure construction and SCIF construction is a specialized niche within the construction industry that requires a complete understanding of the DCID and DSS governing documents. All SCIF are unique and require different treatments based on the location and the existing conditions of a proposed site. Each SCIF depending on the level of safeguarding will need specialized architectural, mechanical, electrical, communications and security treatments necessary within a SCIF Facility. JCC cleared personnel will assist our customers and their customers in deciphering the actual construction requirements for the SCIF in order to provide an accredited SCIF the first time. JCC’s team will assist with the creation of the construction security plan for approval of the SCIF from the accrediting authority. A JCC SCIF project is not considered complete until it has received proper accreditation from the client’s security personnel and governing bodies. JCC’s cleared personnel are well versed in the strict SCIF specifications detailed in Government directive DCID 6/9 and as a result, each SCIF construction project undertaken by JCC has been accredited on the first attempt with no required modifications.
